Al-Koni meets with Turkish Foreign Minister.

Gambia May 5, 2024 (Lana) Representative of the Presidential Council (PC), Mousa Al-Koni, met yesterday with Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of the 15th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, held in Banjul, Gambia.

During the meeting, the Turkish Minister stressed his country’s continued support for the efforts of the PC that aim to achieve stability in Libya.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them to serve Libya and Turkey’s interests in several areas, in addition to discussing current issues of Arab and Islamic nations, including the Palestinian issue, the war on Gaza, mechanisms for taking a unified position to stop the aggression against it, and coordinating the entry of humanitarian aid to civilians.

Al-Koni and Fidan confirmed that the summit, which was held in extraordinary circumstances to discuss the nation’s issues, would come up with recommendations that would serve its interests.
