Tripoli, May 2, 2024 (LANA) - The higher technical committee charged with following up on the phenomenon of groundwater overflow in Zliten recommended preparing a comprehensive plan for urban supply in the municipality.
According to a post by the Ministry on its Facebook page on Wednesday evening, the committee affiliated with the Ministry of Local Government of the Government of National Unity met to follow up on the results of the committee’s work with regard to the technical studies and work it completed, and the measures and procedures it recommended throughout its period of work.
Committee Chairman Saleh Al-Sadiq discussed with the committee members a number of recommendations and necessary measures in the minutes of the meeting to mitigate the repercussions of the rising water level crisis in Zliten.
The committee also reviewed a number of decisions taken to confront the phenomenon, and new developments in particular.
