Central Bank Gives 'Green Light' for Importing 570,000 Sacrifice Sheep.

Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al Sadiq Al Kabir has confirmed that the bank has issued its final approval for 54 companies to import 570,000 sheep for sacrifice for the upcoming 'Eid Al Udha' with a total value of LD 100 million. Al Kabir said the approval was granted on the condition that sheep arrive at Libyan ports by August 20. Libyan Navy Rescues 139 Illegal Migrants North of Sayyad.

Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) Libyan coast guard at the Tripoli Marine base point have rescued 139 illegal migrants off the coast of Sayyad. The migrants all of African nationalities included 5 women and 3 children and the rescue operation took place took place 20 miles north of Sayyad west of Tripoli, a Coast Guard Spokesman Ayub Gassem said.
