Central Bank Gives 'Green Light' for Importing 570,000 Sacrifice Sheep.

Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al Sadiq Al Kabir has confirmed that the bank has issued its final approval for 54 companies to import 570,000 sheep for sacrifice for the upcoming 'Eid Al Udha' with a total value of LD 100 million. Al Kabir said the approval was granted on the condition that sheep arrive at Libyan ports by August 20. Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) Italy was convinced that combating illegal migration had to be done with serious and real cooperation with Libya, the Libyan Coast Guard official spokesman Ayub Gassem said. Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) British Ambassador Peter Millett has welcomed the visit by the UN Special Envoy Ghassan Salama to Libya Peter Milett which he described as a step in the right direction. Libyan Navy Rescues 139 Illegal Migrants North of Sayyad.

Tripoli, 6 August 2017(Lana) Libyan coast guard at the Tripoli Marine base point have rescued 139 illegal migrants off the coast of Sayyad. The migrants all of African nationalities included 5 women and 3 children and the rescue operation took place took place 20 miles north of Sayyad west of Tripoli, a Coast Guard Spokesman Ayub Gassem said.
