Benghazi, May 20, 2024 (LANA) - The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Fawzi Al-Nuwairi,” received today, Monday, in the city of Benghazi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the American Embassy in Libya, “Jeremy Brent.”
“Brent” said in a blog post published by the US Embassy on the “X” platform that the meeting, which he described as heated, discussed the best ways to support the political process facilitated by the United Nations and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, which will contribute to enhancing Libya’s stability and prosperity.
During the meeting, the Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya expressed his concern about the disappearance of Representative Ibrahim Al-Darsi, expressing his hope for his quick and safe return to his family, according to the blog post.
