The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs inspects the progress of work and security control at the Wazen land port.

Tripoli, May 21, 2024 (LANA) - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Saeed, conducted an inspection visit to the Wazen land port, accompanied by the Director of the General Administration of Port Security and the Deputy Head of the Passports, Nationality, and Foreigners Affairs Department.
During his visit, the agent held a meeting that included the Director of the Zuwara Customs Directorate, the Director of the Land Ports Department of the Intelligence Service, the Director of the Ports Department of the Internal Security Service, and the heads of the security services and oversight at the port, in order to follow up on the progress of work at the port in a way that ensures security control and facilitates the movement of passengers.
The agent stressed the importance of security cooperation and coordination between all agencies to ensure facilitating the movement of travelers and preventing smuggling crimes.
He also pointed out that the port will be included in future projects of the Ministry of Interior in accordance with international standards for land crossings.
