Ministry of Interior Sets up Committee to Investigate 'Suk Al Thulatha' Supermarket Fire.

Tripoli, 20 January 2015(Lana) The Ministry of Interior has set up a committee to investigate the fire incident at the 'Suk Al Thulatha' supermarket in Tripoli on Monday. ' A short circuit is believed to have ignited the fire in a bakery on the first floor, before it spread to upper floors, Col. Salah Al Smo'i, Assistant Head of Tripoli Security Directorate for Security Affairs said. Cooperation Between Libya and Malta in Banking Sector Discussed.

Tripoli, 20 January 2015(Lana) The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al Sidiq Al Kabir has discussed with Maltese Counterpart Sidiq Bonichi banking cooperation between the two countries. At the meeting which was held in Valetta on Monday, the sudden collapse of oil prices and production drop and consequences on Libyan public finance were discussed. A fire erupts in Souq al-Thulata 'supermarket' in the capital Tripoli.

Tripoli, 19.01.2015 - (Lana) Today Monday morning , a fire erupted in the commercial Souq al-Thulata 'supermarket' in the capital Tripoli , in which resulted in injuring four people , three of them by suffocation , while the fourth by minor burns , and they all left the hospital after getting treatments. Libya Scholars Association Denounces Blasphemy Against the Prophet 'PBUH'.

Tripoli, 19 January 2015(Lana) The Libya Ulema 'scholars' association has denounced the western newspapers which published cartoons insulting the Prophet Mohamed 'PBUH', saying they offended more than one billion Muslims worldwide. In a statement, the association said 'free speech used by some as an excuse to insult Muslims and their sanctities is void and unacceptable.'
