GNC Local Affairs Committee Discusses With Electricity Minister Power Blackouts.

Tripoli, 22 January 2015(Lana) The General National Congress Local Affairs Committee discussed at an audience with the Minister of Electricity, power outages and the means to address the shortage in power provision and the increased demand. During the meeting which was held at the GNC headquarters on Wednesday, the Ministry's plan for 2015 and the obstacles facing it have also been discussed. Israeli Occupation Forces Detain 18 Palestinians From West Bank Ram Allah, 21 January 2015 (Lana) Israeli occupation forces detained at dawn on Wednesday 18 Palestinians from different parts of the West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted security sources as saying the occupation forces have arrested 12 during a massive military operation they staged in the camps of Balata and Askar Al Jadid east of Nables. The advice which was published on the Department's website on Tuesday urged nationals to avoid public places and un-necessary movements around the country. The Department cited 'unstable security conditions and inability of the Government to rebuild the Army and Police to establish security in the aftermath of the 2011 uprising, and the widespread of arms and anti-aircraft weapons.'
