GNC Local Affairs Committee Discusses With Electricity Minister Power Blackouts.

Tripoli, 22 January 2015(Lana) The General National Congress Local Affairs Committee discussed at an audience with the Minister of Electricity, power outages and the means to address the shortage in power provision and the increased demand. During the meeting which was held at the GNC headquarters on Wednesday, the Ministry's plan for 2015 and the obstacles facing it have also been discussed. The advice which was published on the Department's website on Tuesday urged nationals to avoid public places and un-necessary movements around the country. The Department cited 'unstable security conditions and inability of the Government to rebuild the Army and Police to establish security in the aftermath of the 2011 uprising, and the widespread of arms and anti-aircraft weapons.'
