(Al-Dabaiba) follows up with (Al-Juwaifi) the preparations for the start of the sports season for the new year.

Tripoli, October 26, 2023 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, stressed the need to pay attention to all sports, and that the role of the Ministry of Sports should not be limited to supporting football alone.

      This came during his meeting with the Minister of Sports, Abdel Shafie Al-Juwaifi, with whom he followed the launch of the sports season for the new year.

  According to the Prime Minister’s Media Office on Wednesday, “During the meeting, Al-Juwaifi presented a general position on the development sports projects implemented by the ministry, and completing the technical specifications for implementing 3 new stadiums in Tripoli, Benghazi, and Sebha, as part of the government’s plan to support the sector.”

The meeting also touched on the file of procedures for handing over the Al-Nahr stadiums, the Tripoli Sports City, the Benghazi Sports City, and the Al-Aziziyah, Misrata, Al-Khoms, Tobruk, Al-Bayda, Ajdabiya and Sabha stadiums, and coordination with the Football Association to benefit from them.

  In this regard, Al-Juwaifi praised the government’s support for sports clubs and federations at all levels to help them in their preparations for the start of the next sports season.

  The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Affairs, Adel Gomaa.
