Tunisian Foreign Ministry: US Strikes Near Sabrata Limited Operation.

Tunis, 21 February 2106(Lana) The Tunisian Foreign Ministry has said that the US air strikes against a military training camp near the Libyan city of Sabrata, in which Tunisians were suspected to be among the dead, was a limited operation. Having ascertaining reports of the operation, it became clear that it was aimed at the terrorist organisation of Da'esh in Libya, the Ministry said in a statement on Friday evening. It called for joining ranks by all key players to back up the consensus government in Libya, confront the terrorist organisation, and to enable the new government to stamp out terror and establish peace and stability across Libya. The Head of Information at the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Naufal Al Obeidi said information at possession of Libyan authorities in Tunisia indicated that the raid targeted two houses in Sabrata, wounding 6 Tunisians. First causality reports indicated that 40 from Tunisia and Algeria have been killed, he said, adding the Ministry was coordinating with representative Libyan authorities in Tunisia to determine the circumstances of the air strikes. =Lana=
