Libya calls on neighboring countries to contribute to border control and activate joint committees.

Tripoli, 09.02.2016(Lana) NSG Ministry of Interior said it is making concerted efforts to control and secure the borders according to the available resources. At a press conference, deputy minister of interior, Salah Semio urged neighbouring countries to collaborate in the security field, especially on the issue of illegal immigration. The General Dept for Border security urged Libya's nieghbouring states to contribute to common border security and activate joint security committees. Lt. Col Ameer al-Maqtof who spokes on behalf of the General Dept for Border Security at the press conference held at the NSG premises that the department has 25 border gates for which Libya is trying to provide security and render best services to the Libyans urging neighbouring countries to contribute toward the common border security. =Lana=
