Agreement Reached to Stop Clashes and Open up Road in Gasr Bin Ghashir.

Gharyan, 1 February 2016(Lana) An agreement was reached to end an armed conflict in Gasr Bin Ghashir and open up the highway there, a spokesman for the elders and wise men council Ali Al Mgheirbi said. The agreement which was brokered by the councils of elders and wise men of Gharyan, Al Zawiya and involved the mayors of Gasr Bin Ghashir, Sidi Al Sayeh and member of the Municipal council of Misrata and commanders of the armed groups who agreed to a ceasefire in the area, exchange of bodies and release of prisoners, Al Mgheirbi said. A committee was set up to oversee the withdrawal of the armed formations and military groups from public facilities including the passport authority building, girls faculty and others, he added. The road linking Al Sbai'a and Gasr Bin Ghashir is safe and open for travelers to and from the capital, he said. =Lana=
