Italian defense minister: situation in Libya is complicated, and we are seeking to maintain the ceasefire.

'Lorenzo Gurini' described the situation in Libya as complicated,
noting that his country's authorities are working to maintain the
ceasefire, and supporting a solution in the framework of an internal
Libyan dialogue, a political solution that would lead to political
elections by the end of next year.
In a meeting with students on Thursday, on the occasion of the 'Day
of Legitimacy and Institutions', in response to a question about the
military cooperation agreement signed with the government of national
accord, Gurini said : "the conflict in Libya had limited our activity
in big way, but today there are space to resume the activities to
support the process to strengthen the Libyan institutions, this is
our commitment and our main goal, and we are working on this field".
The defense minister mentioned that Libya is a very important reality
to Italy from various point of views, starting from power interests
and controlling immigrants flows, to security and countering
terrorism; according to the Italian news agency 'AKI'.
