Rescuing (141) illegal immigrants off the Libyan coast.

Tripoli, 14 August, 2020 (Lana) - The International Organization for
Migration announced the rescue of 141 illegal immigrants off the
Libyan coast of different nationalities, including women and
children, who were rescued by coast guard patrols.
The organization explained that the migrants were returned to Libya
through 4 separate rescue operations, and announced that the total
number of those rescued since the beginning of this year amounted to
6,989, with the death of 123 migrants recorded off the Libyan coast,
while 180 migrants were considered missing.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) issued a
report on the inhuman situation that migrants are still facing in
Mediterranean countries, including Libya.
The Commission revealed in its report, that more than 6,200 refugees
and migrants have been disembarked in Libya this year, and that they
are facing difficult conditions.
