New York, 14.03.2020- Lana - New Washington delegate to the United
Nations, Ambassador Kelly Kraft, said parts of Africa face a growing
terrorist threat from groups targeting innocent civilians, kidnapping
foreigners and undermining legitimate governments.
She added in a tweet through her official account on the social
networking site "Twitter": "The global community must work together
to address this threat and eliminate the conditions conducive to the
spread of terrorism."
In last November, Kraft said support for the African Union would be
crucial to stem the illegal flow of arms in Libya. It called for the
African Union to strictly adhere to the United Nations principles on
financing, burden-sharing and the standards of peacekeeping
operations.
