Tripoli, 14 March 2018(Lana) An ambitious project was launched in
Tripoli on Tuesday for upgrading healthcare services in Libya, in
collaboration with the Government of the United Kingdom and the World
Health Organisation 'WHO'.
The United Kingdom has undertaken to bear the financial costs of
the project in along with WHO, which are estimated at 1.8 million
Euros, the Director of Health Services Office Ridha Shouta said.
Shouta added the project would be executed within 24 months
starting from today at the level of six health centres as a start,
before covering other centres across the country.
The project aims to offer high quality training on planning and
health services provision for 33 doctors, 600 nurses and 100 health
staff, he said.
What health care teams need is training and the sector will be
