Tunisian accused in drowning of migrants boat appears before court.

Catania (Italy), 24.05.2015(Lana) The Tunisian Captain, of the fishing boat that was carrying migrants before it drowned off the shores of Libya where more than 700 people drowned, appeared before an Italian judge on Friday after the prosecution called for indicting him for killing several people. UN welcome European plan to rescue refugee boats.

Geneva, 24.04.2015(Lana) The United Nations on Friday welcomed a plan by the EU to double the rescue efforts missions in the Mediterranean Sea to three folds and said the decisions is to rescue people and to give people fleeing the war a chance to seek asylum. The UN High Commission for Refugee said Europe's reassurance indicate that the operation will have the capacity, resources and the scope of the Italian operation, which ended six months ago. Al Thini Government Fails to Sell Crude Outside Control of NOC.

Tobruk, 23 April 2015(Lana) Sources close to the National Oil Company have said that the Tobruk-based government of Al Thini had failed at exporting crude oil via the bank accounts they opened in the UAE, noting that customers were still buying oil directly from the NOC in the capital. The same sources said shipments of oil have been exported from Al Hreiga terminal in Tobruk which under control of forces loyal to Al Thini, but the revenues were paid through the NOC and the Central Bank of Libya channels in Tripoli. =... Tobruk, 23 April 2015(Lana) The Chair of the Crisis Committee at the Tobruk Municipal Council Nuri Durman has confirmed that oil exports have been resumed from Al Hreiga terminal in the city. A 770,000 ton tanker was loaded with crude, Durman said, noting that the security responsibility at the terminal was being undertaken by the military Police under instructions from the commander of the military region in Tobruk, after exports were halted following demands by the Oil Installations Guards to stop exports in protest over delay of their salaries. =...
