5+5 Military Committee Talks Resume in Ghadamis.

Tripoli, 3 November 2020(Lana) Proceedings of the Military Committee 5+5 were resumed in the city of Ghadamis on Tuesday under the auspices of the United Nations. The UN Special Representative to Libya Stephanie Williams said at the end of yesterday's session addressing the participants 'you have created a miracle, you have challenged and overrun all pressures, and your voice was loud 'no to war, yes to peace and unity.' Lana Correspondent in Ghadamis reported that the UN Envoy has felt that the two parties had a sincere desire to come up with fruitful results. Williams said the 5+5 has now become the Committee of 10, adding that 'what we saw was that the 10 officers had the goodwill to resolve the Libyan crisis.' The UN Envoy said 'eyes are now on the political elite as a whole, not just those who will take part in the Libyan political talks to follow suit, and to bear the historical responsibility to put the interests of their people and country first.' She said she expected the 5+5 Committee to wind up its work this evening, and to announce the historic results which will impress all Libyans as she put it. =Lana=
