Libya chairs the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

New York, September 23, 2020 (LANA) - Libya, represented by its
representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Taher Al-Sunni, who
is the vice-president of the General Assembly, chaired, on Tuesday,
at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, the high-level
meetings of the General Assembly in its new session coinciding with
the celebration of the 75th anniversary of establishing the
organization.
The Permanent Mission of Libya to the United Nations said in a
statement on its website via the international network: (The work of
the sessions began with the words of the Secretary-General of the
United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and the President of the General
Assembly for this session, Volcan Bousker), indicating that these
sessions will continue until the 29th of this month.
According to some sources at the United Nations General Assembly
building, it is expected that Libya's speech will be delivered on
this occasion tomorrow, Thursday, September 24, given that the words
of countries are already registered due to the exceptional
arrangements due to the spread of the Corona virus, and it is not
possible for delegations to attend the headquarters of the
international organization.
