Administrative Control Board Warns Against Undermining Resources of Libyan People.
Pulbished on:
Tripoli, 19 September 2019(Lana) The Administrative Control Board
has issued a statement in which it said that it had noted, through
execution of its competence in accordance with the Law NO. 20 OF
2013, and the documents now in its possession, that the National Oil
Company was in the process of finalizing measures for relinquishing
by the American oil company Marathon of its share in Libyan oil
business to the French oil company Total, which the Board deemed
undermining public interest and the resources of the Libyan people.
'Based on the afore-said the Board has demanded that the
Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord must
immediately intervene, to put this on hold and prepare for an
emergency meeting to thoroughly consider the matter, and come up with
viable proposals of benefit to the Libyan state, the statement said.
