Antiquities Authority Launches Project for Maintenance and Documentation of 'Libya Palace'.

Benghazi, 27 November 2017(Lana) The Libyan Antiquities Authority
has launched a project for documenting and rehabilitating of the
'Libya Palace' as part of assistance program funded by UNESCO, with
the aim of protecting Libyan archaeological sites.
Work started on the eastern church which will be restored in
terms of its roof and the ground mosaic, and removal of wild grass
around the building.
The first stage involves restoring and rehabilitating of the
Libya Palace site including the mosaic, as well as raising awareness
among the people living near the site of the importance of protecting
the place, the Head of Projects Dept at the Antiquities Authority
Saleh Agab said.
