Paris, 27 August 2017(Lana) French Presidency Office has
announced that Paris was hosting a Euro-African summit on the Libyan
crisis, to be chaired by the French President Emanuel Macron, and to
be attended by the President of the Presidency Council Fayez Al
Serraj.
The Office said the summit would be attended by the President of
Chad and Niger, the EU High Representative of Foreign Affairs and
Security Policy Federica Mogherini, as well as the Heads of
Governments of Spain and Italy and the German Chancellor Angela
Merkel.
The meeting is reportedly designed to coordinate efforts to
confront illegal migration, according to the announcement, which said
the meeting would be an opportunity to renew European support for
Libya, Chad and Niger to control the flow of migrants.
