Arab League Welcomes Every Progress Made by Libyan Parties, Says Assistant Secretary.

Cairo, 8 August 2017(Lana) The Arab league Assistant Secretary
General said the League's Envoy to Libya was there, and liaising with
different parties, though he was being reported better in the
Tunisian media than the Egyptian because he is Tunisian himself and
works from Tunis.
In an interview with the Egyptian 'Al Masri Al Youm' newspaper,
published on the League's website, Hussam Zaki said Arab League Envoy
to Libya Salahdine Al Jamali visited Libya recently, and was expected
to visit again, adding that he was an experienced diplomat with a
knowledge of the Libyan file and was in contact with various parties
to the conflict.
The Arab League welcomes any positive progress and any agreement
between key Libyan parties.
The Arab League has a vision for getting out of the crisis which
everybody knows, namely the multiple authorities which claim
legitimacy as well as the security and terrorism problems, he said.
The Arab League is prepared to led assistance to the Libyan
parties regarding holding elections, given the successful assistance
the League offered to parliamentary elections in Algeria.
