President of Presidency Council Discuss Migration With IMO.

Tripoli, 3 August 2017(Lana) The President of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj held a meeting with William Soeing President of the International Organiation for Migration. The meeting was attended by a number of GNA officials. Soeing highlighted what he said achievements made since his last visit to the country. Al Serraj tackled the migration issue saying his government has against all odds provided humanitarian assistance to the migrants until they could return home. Libya is affected by the migration phenomenon, in fact it is a victim, Al Serraj said, adding that he was surprised by European attitude despite the fact that Europe was directly or indirectly affected. The talks also dealt with the political and humanitarian implications of this issue. Soeing said the IOM was contributing to effort aimed at returning migrants to their countries and help them start a new life. He paid tribute to Libyan authorities for their cooperation, and also for the UN humanitarian programme for those stranded in Libya. =Lana=
