CBL Authorizes Payment of public Servants Payment Orders.

Tripoli, 1 March 2016(Lana) The Central Bank of Libya has issued authority to banks to pay salaries of public servants for the month of January. The Bank said in statement on its website that it has started Monday authorizing payment of January salaries of all public servants in accordance with enforced laws, after the payment orders have been referred by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday. Government Asks CBL to Endorse Exchange Rate.

Tripoli, 1 March 2016(Lana) The National Salvation Government has asked the Central Bank of Libya to endorse the exchange rate through which it could ensure monetary stability of the market. The Government demanded in its letter to the CBL that the Ministries of Finance and Economy be engaged in the letter of credit procedures through the custom authority, given that the two ministries are the bodies responsible for executing the country's financial and commercial policies. Cairo, 29 February 2016(Lana) The Pan-Arab Parliament on Monday holds its third session at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo to discuss the situation in the region. UN Human Rights Council Discusses Human Rights Issues and Situation in Libya and Syria.

Geneva, 29 February 2016(Lana) The United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday started its annual session which lasts until March 24, and which was expected to discuss human rights issues, especially in countries where there are armed conflicts like Libya and Syria.
