Tripoli, 15 February 2017(Lana) The Central Bank of Libya has announced that it had taken hold of a new amount of paper currency namely LD 250 million. The Bank said the currency which arrived by air to Mi'tiga Airport from the United Kingdom was the third the bank received this month, and would be used to alleviate the shortages in currency, and ease the suffering of citizens as a result. Cairo, 15 February 2017(Lana) Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri reaffirmed that Egypt was liaising with Libyan parties to push forward the Al Sukheirat agreement. Tripoli, 15 February 2017(Lana) The UN Special Envoy to Libya Martin Kobler has said that the Al Jala Pediatric Hospital in Tripoli was in a dire need for funds to continue to offer services to patients. The situation in the hospital is 'catastrophic', due to shortages in staff, and medical supplies, Kobler said after a meeting with the Director of the Hospital Ahmed Shati.
