Tripoli, 25 December 2018(Lana) Libyans celebrated on Monday the 67th anniversary of the Independence Day on 24 December in 1951. The Independence Day capped a long straggle which lasted for two decades during which Libyan freedom fighters fought epic battles against the Italian colonial forces in almost every corner of the country. Tripoli, 25 December 2018(Lana) A terrorist attack targeted the Libyan Foreign Ministry headquarters in the capital Tripoli on Tuesday. Informed sources said three of the Ministry's employees were killed and 9 wounded in the attack in which 3 of the 4 assailants were also killed. According to the sources 2 of the attackers detonated explosive vests, while the third was killed in a shootout with the security personnel at the building. Tripoli, 23 December 2018(Lana) The President of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj on Sunday met the Mayor of Al Zawiyah, members of the Municipal Council and a number of the city's prominent figures.
