Army Staff Revokes all Temporary Contracts of Military Men.

Tripoli, 11 December 2018(Lana) The Army Staff has announced that it was revoking all temporary contracts of military men as of the end of December 2018. In a note, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan news agency, the Army Staff said those who wish to continue in the service have to submit an application through their units, and those whose applications proved to be successful will be referred to training centres in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Libyan Army, and will receive military numbers and sign a 5 year contract. Tripoli, 10 December 2018(Lana) The National Oil Company has declared a force Majeure at Al Sharara oil fields operated by the Akakos Oil Company, following the sabotage and stealing carried out by a group of outlaws at the facility. The company has called for an unconditional evacuation by the armed group of the facility, voicing its deep concern over failure by the Oil Installation Guard Force to protect the fields and the personnel.
