Spokesman for Libyan Navy Dismisses Drowning of Than 50 Migrants Off Libyan Coast.

Tripoli, 30 September 2019(Lana) The Spokesman for the Libyan Navy Ayub Gasem has dismissed media reports about drowning of more than 50 migrants off the coast of Libya. These reports are baseless, Gasem said in statement, indicating that Coast Guard elements went out immediately after news broke out Saturday and continued search until dawn on Sunday. Tripoli, 30 September 2019(Lana) The UN High Commission for Refugees UNHCR has announced that a first batch of refugees has been evacuated from Libya to Rwanda, as part of an agreement with the latter, to transfer thousands of stranded refugees from Libya.
