Tripoli, 7 October 2019 (Lana) National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced it would stop the Gas Plant at Zewitina as of today to conduct maintenance work from 7th to 14th October 2019. NOC said; it would as a result suspend production at AL Fargh oil field halting about 15,000 bpd and about 70 million cubic feet of gas. NOC confirmed that Serte Company would continue its normal supplies of gas to power stations and the lost quantities will be compensated by liquid fuel. Moscow, 7 October 2019(Lana) Chairman of the National Oil Company Mustafa Sun'allah said the company can increase gas production by 50% of the 3000 million cubic feet per day. Sun'allah, who took part in the Ministerial Meeting of Gas Exporting Countries in Moscow, said $5 billion could be saved annually if gas was used as a substitute for liquid fuel in power generation plants.
