Sochi, 24 October 2019(Lana) Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sesi met his Russian Counterpart Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Russia-African Economic Forum. The two sides reviewed regional and international issues, and exchanged viewpoints over a host of issues in the Middle East including the Libyan crisis. UNICEF: All Libyan Parties Should Refrain From Shelling Civilians.

Tripoli, 24 October 2019(Lana) The UN children organisation UNICEF said that recent attacks served as a reminder that children pay the heaviest price as violence continued in a number of areas in western Libya. Children must be protected anytime anywhere, and all parties to the conflict should refrain from shelling civilian targets including homes, hospitals and schools the Organization said.
