Moscow, July 14, 2020 (Lana) - Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed Monday the situation in Libya during a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Erdogan. The Russian presidency said in a statement that the two presidents agreed again on the need to end the armed confrontation in Libya early and return to negotiations on the basis of the decisions of the Berlin International Conference, held on January 19, which was approved by Security Council Resolution 2510. Tripoli, 13 July 2020 (Lana) Chief of Arab and International Police, Brig Abdul Hamid Al Gjazali and head of Passports Authority, Brig Jouma Gjariba held a meeting Monday. They agreed at the meeting to operationalize the Interpol system to apprehend people on Interpol's Red Notice at Amitiqa and Misrata Airports and Tas Jadiet and Dhahiba border posts with Tunisia. Algeria, July 10, 2020 (Lana) - The Algerian President, Abdel Majid Taboun, Thursday, appointed Omar Tlemceni, as new commander for the fourth military area in the border region of Wuargla with Libya. The Algerian presidency said in a statement that the President "Taboun" has assigned "Omar Tlemceni" to lead the fourth military aspect as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense.
