IMO: Libyan Coast Guard Intercepted 6989 Persons in the Sea Since the Beginning of the Year.

Tripoli, 13 August 2020(Lana) The International Migration Organisation has disclosed that the number of migrants intercepted by the Libyan Coast Guard and returned to the country has reached 6989 since the beginning of the year. In most cases those returned are sent to detention centres, IOM said on its Twitter account on Wednesday, indicating that 141 migrants were intercepted during the period 4-9 August. Tripoli, 13 August 2020(Lana) The National Disease Control Centre has appealed to those who have recovered from the CoronaVirus infections to come forward to donate blood plasma to help those in need for it. In a release posted to its SMS page, the NDCC said 'donating blood plasma by those who recover from the infection has never been so urgent, to help the increasing number of new cases.' NCDC : 309 New CornaVirus Cases Registered in Libya Over the Last 24 Hours.

Tripoli, 13 August 2020(Lana) The Director of the National Disease Control Centre Badr Iddin Al Najjar said 309 new CoronaVirus cases and 38 recoveries have been registered in Libya over the last 24 hours. The NCDC said it received 2672 samples for testing, of which 2363 were negative and 309 positive.
