Tatarstan President receives the First Deputy Chairman of State Supreme Council.

Kazan, May 17, 2024 (WALA) - President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, received yesterday, Thursday, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of State, Masoud Ubaid, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Korobchenko, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Gazinor Bakirov, and the Assistant to the President of the Republic, Rinat. Siddikov, Minister of Youth Affairs, Radik Vahidov, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazan, Nail Maganov, General Director of Tataneft.

According to the Information Office of the Supreme Council of State, the two parties discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of developing relations in the fields of education, agriculture, energy, mining and youth, and the importance of accelerating the formation of a working team between the two countries to lay the foundations for implementing projects in the fields at hand.

The two parties also agreed on the necessity of activating previous agreements regarding the scholarship of Libyan trainees in the oil and energy sectors, as the Tatar side expressed its readiness to receive young people in various aspects of training and its readiness to invest with local companies to develop the gas sector in Libya.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the First Deputy praised the good reception and the accuracy of the organization of the Russian-Islamic Economic Forum, stressing that efforts are being made to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Its noteworthy, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of State, Dr. Masoud Ubaid, is visiting the Republic of Tatarstan to participate in the Russia and Islamic World Economic Forum in the capital, Kazan, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
