Sabratha, May 04, 2024  (LANA) - The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced, Friday, that members of the security services were able to arrest the killer of a 16-year-old girl in the city of Sabratha.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office explained that the prosecutor examined the information provided by the warden of the Security Information and Follow-up Office about the fact that the victim was involved in a traffic accident that claimed her life in the city of Sabratha.

He added that the results of the research and investigation showed that the accused tried to hide the fact that the victim was a victim of premeditated murder. He detained the victim's freedom and subjected her to cruel torture, which led to kidney failure and her death.

The Public Prosecutor's Office added that the investigating authority interrogated the doctor who gave the victim painkillers during her illegal detention, who confirmed that she had been subjected to harsh torture methods, in a place that witnessed the torture and killing of a number of victims.

The investigator ended up detaining the accused person pending the case. He directed that those involved in the torture and murder be arrested and brought to justice.
