Beijing, April 11, 2024 (LANA) - The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said today, Thursday, that the government encourages Chinese companies to explore new investment possibilities in Africa.
Gi Yadong, spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said in a press conference, that the government encourages Chinese companies to expand economic and trade cooperation in Africa in accordance with trade and market rules, adding that in 2023, China's direct investment in Africa has maintained an increasing trend.
The spokesman went on to say that China's infrastructure cooperation in Africa in areas such as transportation, energy, electricity and housing has promoted local economic development.
