Tripoli, April 7, 2024 (Lana) The EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, discussed with UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, the stalemate of the political process in Libya, which increasingly jeopardizes stability and the unity of Libya.
“I confirmed the EU's support for his mediation and encouragement for bold efforts to bring the key stakeholders to the negotiating table to take the country to national elections.” Orlando said in a tweet.
“We agreed the Libyans’ concerns cannot be ignored, and members of the international community have a role to play,” he added.
