Tripoli, February 27, 2024 (LANA) - The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Libya, Georgette Gagnon, stressed the importance of the conference (Supporting a comprehensive process for national reconciliation and transitional justice), as it comes weeks before the holding of the inclusive national conference. .

In her speech at the conference (Supporting a comprehensive process for national reconciliation and transitional justice) yesterday, Monday, she affirmed the United Nations’ commitment to supporting rights, based on the success of national reconciliation, and reaching the greatest degree of consensus on the fundamental points of disagreement.

Georgette saluted all those present who gathered for peace, justice and reconciliation, by working to address the roots of the conflict, focusing on accountability, and the effective participation of victims.
