 New York, 30 September 2022 (Lana) Germany's Special Envoy to Libya, Christian Buck, on Friday renewed Germany's readiness to support the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and the new head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdullah Batelli.

This came during a meeting between Bock and Batelli on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Batelli began his first official meetings with Libya's Permanent Mission to the United Nations and Libya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Al Taher Al-Sunni in New York, who welcomed him as the first African envoy to Libya.
