Commissioned by the Prime Minister of the Unity Government: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs receives the Libyan prisoner in Ukraine (Hatem Hamida Bakir) to return him to Libya

Tripoli, September 20, 2022 (LANA) - The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General "Mahmoud Saeed" received the Libyan prisoner in Ukraine, "Hatem Hamida Bakir", commissioned by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba" as part of his concern for the safety of citizens Libyans.

And the Ministry of the Interior announced in a statement that the process of receiving the prisoner took place today, Tuesday, from the Ukrainian-Polish border, in accordance with the prisoner exchange agreement signed with the Ukrainian government.

The ministry stated that the committee assigned by the Libyan government headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs has, during the past months, deported and evacuated all the Libyan community present in Ukraine and returned them to the homeland in peace after negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities last March with the participation of the Chargé d'Affairs of the Libyan embassy  there.
