Tripoli, 7September, 2022 (Lana) - US ambassador and special envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, congratulated Libya on its assumption of the presidency of the League of Arab States, which continues to play an important role in international efforts to achieve stability in the country, as he put it. Norland added, in two tweets, Wednesday, posted by the US embassy on its Twitter page, saying that “after the recent clashes in particular, it has become clear that the status quo is unsustainable and that all external and internal actors must move towards the presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible" .
