Discussions between Di Maio and Borrell on Libya and the crisis in the Sahel.

Rome, February 12, 2022 (LANA) - Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Policy and Security Josep Borrell agreed on the importance of preserving the unity of purpose of the most committed European countries in order to achieve stability in Libya to support the political process led and facilitated by the United Nations.
This came in a statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry, which confirmed that the political process in Libya and the situation in the Sahel region, along with the recent developments in Mali and the crisis in Ukraine, were at the heart of the telephone conversation, which took place yesterday, between «Di Maio» and «Borrell».
