CBL Discuss Opening Letters of Credit for Basic Goods.

Tripoli, 6 April 2016(Lana) The Central Bank of Libya has discussed
at an extended meeting acceleration of opening letters of credit for
basic goods imports.
The meeting which was held at the CBL headquarters dealt with the
difficulties facing importers of basic commodities, and the proposals
put forward by the Bank to overcome these difficulties.
The importers welcomed the measures introduced by the CBL which
call for letters of credit to be opened through the bank network, and
the allocation of 3,150 billion for goods imports, saying the amount
meets the needs of the Libyan market in the coming period.
