Tripoli, 31 March 2106(Lana) The British Ambassador to Libya Peter
Millet has said that the international community would deal only with
the Consensus Government led by Fayez Al Saraj, indicating that
European and International sanctions would be imposed on obstructers
of the Government work.
In press statements on Wednesday, Millet said 'my country has
welcomed the arrival of the Al Saraj-led government in Tripoli. What
happened in Tripoli was the key part of the Al Skhairat accords which
produced the Presidential Council, he said.
The Al Skhairat accords provides for a unity government that would
undertake to confront the huge challenges facing Libya, and this
council is the product of a Libyan dialogue, and brought about by
negotiations among Libyans, it enjoys vigorous international support,
and we support the council if it requests us to do so, to confront
challenges, the Ambassador added.
