Pulbished on:
Paris, 24 March 2106(Lana) French Defence Minister Jean Yves
Ledrian said Thursday that some 800000 migrants were in Libya waiting
to cross to Europe.
In an interview with the French Radio 1, Ludrian said the number of
would be migrants is in hundreds of thousands, and said in reply to a
journalist who claimed they were over 800000, the number was a bit
accurate.
'We have to make sure that migrant trafficking dose not boost the
resources of Da'esh with additional funds, the French Defence
Minister said.
Thus Europeans are demanding that the formation of a national unity
government be accelerated to give permission to EU ships to trace
down traffickers to the Libyan coasts, the Minister added.
The formation of the national unity government is a priority, he
added.
The government is about to be formed and the regional key players
should move to recognize it, in reference o Egypt, Turkey and Qatar.
Once it is formed the government has to declare what it needed from
the international community to deter three main threats: Da'esh which
involves 4000 to 5000 fighters, migrant trafficking and weapons.
