Ban Ki Mon and Algerian Foreign Affairs Minister Discuss Developments in Libya.

Algiers, 7 March 2106(Lana) The United Nations Secretary General
Ban Ki Mon and the Algerian Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation Minister Ramadan Al Amamra, have discussed developments
in Libya and other issues.
Ban called on Libyan parties to look beyond their own viewpoints,
to focus on the future of the country, the Algerian news agency
reported.
The UN Secretary General expressed hope that the national
consensus government in Libya be installed as soon as possible. He
renewed a call for the international players to use their leverage to
pacify the country, warning that a lack of progress in Libya would
escalate the political crisis, and Da'esh attacks would double and it
would gain more territory.
The UN Secretary General said a 'comprehensive dialogue' was the
ideal way to resolve the crisis, and warned military solution would
only aggravate the situation
He valued the role played by Algeria by hosting the UN-sponsored
talks on Libya.
