Berlin, 2 March 2106(Lana) The UN Special Envoy to Libya Martin
Kobler has said that war against so called Islamic State or Da'esh
should fought by Libyans, rejecting any foreign intervention in the
country.
'Foreign intervention is always linked to shortcomings, because
they will never bring long term solutions, Kobler told Deutch Velle
Radio on Tuesday.
He stressed that combating Da'esh should be carried out by Libyans
themselves, and called on all political forces in the country 'to put
interests of the Libyan people first.'
'The people of Libya want a national unity government, Kobler
said, adding that there were areas where support could be rendered
like training Libyan security forces.
