Washington, 21 February 2106(Lana) The US Defence Department on
Saturday said the US Army was monitoring the training camp used by
Da'esh near Sabrata in Libya for weeks, but said it had no
information indicating two abducted Serbian diplomats died in the
raid.
'Our forces monitored the training camp for weeks before the
operation, and at the time of the raid, nothing indicated there were
civilians', the Defence Department spokesman Peter Cock said.
'Up to this hour, we have no information to indicate that their
death was caused by the strikes of the US Air Force targeting a
prominent leader of Da'esh and a training camp in Libya, the
spokesman said.
Serbia announced on Saturday the death of two Serbian nationals,
who had been abducted in Libya back in November.
The US raid targeted a two storey building near Sabrata, that was
used as a shelter by extremists killing more than 40.
