British Ambassador Congratulates Libyans on Revolution Anniversary.

Tripoli, 18 February 2106(Lana) The British Ambassador to Libya
Peter Millett has congratulated the Libyan people on the 5th
anniversary of the February 17 Revolution.
'The February 17 Revolution was unleashed to remove the
dictatorial regime, usher in democracy, equality and transparency,
and to restore dignity and decent life to the masses of the Libyan
people, Millett said in press statement.
Despite the turmoil in the country, crowds of the Libyan people
have come out to celebrate in a spontaneous atmosphere, he said.
He highlighted the political dialogue which led to the formation
of the national consensus government, which he described as major
step to get the country out of its crises.
He stressed his intention to visit Libya shortly, to share the Libyan
joy of the celebration of the Revolution, in a safe, stable and
prosperous country.
