NSG discusses economic situation and foreign trade.

Tripoli, 09.02.2016(lana) Head of National Salvation Government
(NSG), Khalifa Al-Ghawial met Tuesday in Tripoli with the committee
formed to assess foreign trade in the presence of Minister of
Finance, Salah Naser and financial advisor to the head of NSG.
The meeting discussed the report submitted by head of the
committee entrusted to study and assess the financial, economic and
monetary position besides controls taken for opening of documentary
credits.
They also discussed proposals referred to the Central Bank of
Libya on terms and conditions and controls organizing of opening of
documentary credits and addressing the decline of the Libyan dinar vs
foreign currency pushing up prices of food staff.
The NSG recently formed committees comprising academics, trade
unions and chambers of commerce and industry to study the economic
situation and submit recommendations and programmes to the
government.
The NSG also wrote to the Central bank of Libya urging it to share
with the government such recommendations and also to consider
alternative solutions to address the decline of the Libyan dinar vs
foreign currency.
