Dabashi: Libya deprived of voting in the general assembly , because it didn't pay its dues.

Tripoli, 06.02.2-16 - Lana - The Libyan delegate to the United
Nations 'Ibrahim Dabashi' , said that Libya was deprived of voting in
the general assembly legally.
In a press statement , published yesterday Friday , Dabashi said that
, Libya hasn't paid its contribution in the UN since 2014 , pointing
out that the value of outstanding debt , amounted to 20 million
dollars.
According to the rule of the UN general assembly procedures , the
Member State is deprived of the right to vote , if reached or
increased the amount of its debts , in arrears of its contribution to
the UN for two years ; Dabashi added.
